Yesterday, the weather cleared and I hauled my bike out of the garage and rode through downtown to catch the river path. Oh my, how good it felt to peddle along in the sunshine under the trees and past the wildflowers and grazing woodchucks.
The first ride I took on the path this season, early in the summer, also was the first time that Nelson and I climbed on our tandem in ten years. Our nephew, the best visitor on the planet, encouraged us to dust it off. That day I saw, from my vantage on the back seat, an eagle swoop down and catch a fish and swoop back up. I have to say that seeing that was a wsh fulfilled.
It's such good news to see all the people on the patch now that it's completed.
